For Jamie

I am back again doing the Big Red Ride for my son.
Jamie has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is a bright and cheerful 12 years old, however, the cruelty of the disease is impacting him a little harder every day. He is finding it hard to climbing stairs, walking and needs assistance with many everyday tasks.
Please help Jamie and other boys like him by clicking on "Donate Now" to make a secure online donation.
Thank you so much for your support!
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a DGR receipt va email as soon as you make a donation.

Muscular Dystrophy NSW

Muscular Dystrophy is a devastating neuromuscular disorder, which results in the progressive deterioration of muscle strength and function. It affects 20,000 people in Australia and is more prevalent than Cystic Fibrosis, Huntington's Disease and Tay Sachs Disease combined. The most common form is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which primarily affects boys. Onset of this condition is between 3 and 5 years of age and the disorder progresses rapidly with most boys completely dependent on an electric wheelchair by their early teens. Life expectancy for this disorder is usually only until late teens or early twenties.
